EQUIPMENT FOR SALE!

For 12 years we operated an organic vegetable farm and decided to retire last year. Therefore we are selling most of our equipment. You will find the pricing very competitive, and because Tim is a stickler for maintaining equipment with regular cleaning, greasing, changing oil, or other regular maintenance, it is all in very good shape.

Prices are listed with each item, but we are certainly willing to negotiate, especially if you are interested in buying several items. Tim's rule of thumb when setting prices was to look at what we paid for it and ask for 40% of what that cost to us was. So these are really, really good deals! We will happily provide additional photos and answer any questions you might have. If you live close by, you can call to schedule an appointment to see the equipment. ROOT VEGETABLE WASHER: 30” diameter x 8 feet long. This simple but effective washer is great for washing all of your root crops and saving you both buckets of time and water! Potatoes, beets, carrots, etc are loaded into one end of the drum. An electric (120 volt) motor slowly turns the drum while small jets spray from above. The drum is angled slightly downward from the entrance to the exit, so that the roots vegetables slowly tumble to the end nicely cleaned of most of their dirt.  $400

DEMPSTER FERTILIZER SPREADER,  Model 200S,  Stainless Steel hopper, 108"x 84" at top, 10.25" x 62" at bottom, 44" deep. As you can see from the pictures, this piece of equipment has been well treated. Tim has power washed it after each use and since we have only used composted chicken manure or soil amenders such as gypsum in this PTO driven fertilizer, there aren't the corrosion issues that you will normally find with used fertilizer spreaders.   $5,000

ALLIS CHALMERS MODEL G CULTIVATING TRACTOR WITH HYDRAULIC LIFTS: One of the biggest challenges for the organic grower is weed control. Having a tractor dedicated to cultivating while your other tractor is used for plowing, planting or digging, is a huge bonus. This "G" is also a collector's piece and is very easy and straightforward to operate and maintain, and as you can see it is in great condition! It comes with a single row cultivator and rear furrowing bar, s/n G25029.  Converted to 12v  and electronic ignition.  Have 6v generator.    $3,500
