I am sorry that this picture of Mella is outdated and shows her as a cria, instead of the beautiful alpaca adult she has become. Mella's dam is one of our tried and true gals, an import from Peru who consistently breeds easily, births easily, and has a great milk supply. There was a time when such qualities were less emphasized, but since they are highly heritable, it is very important that a farm's foundation herd be built on alpacas that possess these traits.
Along with being a great dam, Charisma consistently passes along her fineness of fleece. When shorn, she shows her vicuna pattern which may contribute to that fineness. Mella has that fineness, as well.
Mella's sire Master, brought his luster to the table as you can see in the picture here. Mella's conformation is sound and her coverage takes her fleece to her toes. A pretty little package indeed!
Mella sells with a free breeding to any of our herdsires, when it's convenient for you to take advantage of the breeding! With color in her background she could be bred to color or white, depending on what you would like to see in your herd.
