LFA King
The King is
now holding court!!!! King has settled his
first female this fall and we are excited! This
guy
is one class act with a terrific disposition, fantastic upright and solid
conformation, and locked and lustrous fiber. In other words, he's the real
deal!
We first saw King at the North American Livestock Exposition in the fall of 2003. We have never been impressed with the gray suri alpacas we have seen, for they usually don't have the complete package. Most gray suris lack lustre, locks, or both. King is the exception to that rule, and his show record demonstrates that. This rose gray male has the conformation we insist upon, the density we strive for, and the locks and lustre that are usually missing in grays.
We are happy to co-own King with Ray and Maria Rodriguez of Leraso Farms. King's birthdate is 28 April, 2003 and his ARI # is 845688. His sire is 6Peruvian Silver King (ARI# 808107) and his dam is Echo (ARI# 807653). We are hoping that King will start settling females in the fall of 2004 and will be selling limited breedings as soon as he is "up and running". Breeding to King will offer a great opportunity to add those rare gray, lustred locks to your herd.
In
order to prove King, Bluebird Hills Farm and Leraso Farms have agreed to offer King's
services at $2000 fo
r
his first 10 breedings, but the price will climb after
that. We appear to have one of those discounted breedings accomplished with 9 to
go, so make your date now!
King's Show Record:
2004 AOBA National 2nd place
2004 Great Midwest Alpaca Fest First &Color Champion
2004 Wisconsin Spring Fling First & Color Champion
4th Place AAA Futurity
1st Place 2004 Kentucky Classic

LFA Accoyo Ruggiero --- Full Accoyo!
We are
extremely excited to co-own this male with Leraso Farm and Cedar Haven Farm.
Ruggiero holds a unique line
through
his sire CPeruvian Abel who has very few cria on the ground, only 20 as of July
2006. Only a few of
these are full Accoyo males and Ruggiero is one of them. Abel was retained
by the importers for their personal herds, for they viewed him as the finest of
all the CPeruvian Accoyo herdsires brought in during the last importation
through Canada in 1998.
Ruggiero has lived in the shadow of his pasture mate LFA Accoyo Belmonte and was shown only a time or two, but believe me he brings everything you would want to the table with strong conformation, density, and brilliant white luster. As is always the case, the proof is in the progeny and all 3 of his cria are topnotch.
Ruggiero was born on October 21, 2001 and his ARI number is 831014. His dam is 6Peruvian Accoyo Balera and his sire is CPeruvian Accoyo Abel. Breeding fee for Ruggiero is $3000.00 and he will be here at Bluebird Hills Farm from September 2006 through June 2007. Take advantage of this full Accoyo rarely used bloodline for $3000
Ruggiero's Cria
Master Sargent JCH
We purchased Master from JC Alpaca farm after birthing some of his
cria here at our farm. We
haven't had a
second thought. Not only is he a beautiful maroon, but he also is very
easy to handle and has settled each of the girls we have bred to him with the
first breeding. You can't beat that! Master was born 28 May,
1998,
and his ARI number is 803348. We have no pictures of Master in his first fleece, but the
one provided
is certainly acceptable, and you can easily see his lustre, locks, and gorgeous maroon
coloring. His conformation is excellent with proper proportions and great
bone. Go for the gold by choosing this spectacular maroon herdsire for
your dam. Master's sire is 4Peruvian Renzo, ARI# 166601, and a true black
male. His dam is Penny Jax, a brown suri female whose ARI # is 117937.
Master's breeding fee is $2000.00

MORE OF MASTER'S 2005 CRIA! We are so excited with what he has done for us and can't wait to show them off at the spring 2006 shows. One of the cria this fall has developed a patch of gray fiber on her neck and her dam is as white as snow! I just love these maroon males! All of these crias below are out of white, beige, or light fawn females!
Woods Edge Ticket To Ride
Ticket
is the "Go to Guy" when you want to add luster and density to your female suri.
As you can see at the left, he is light
fawn,
perfectly conformed, and comes back every year after shearing with great locks.
Pictures of him in
full
fleece were lost with a computer crash, but you can see that even after recent
shearing, his locks are returning fast and furious! Every cria he has
sired has been an improvement on the dam, providing solid bone, great luster,
and uniform locks. Ticket took blue at AOBA in 2000 as a juvenile, and
then went on to take Reserve in his color class at that same show. This guy is
outstanding and passes it all on to his crias. His ARI number is 813171
and he was born July 7th, 1999. He is half Accoyo through is sire,
PPeruvian BARON. His dam is a medium brown, named Sautusa Samantha.
Breeding fee for Ticket is $2000.00.
DPA Benito
This
is a beautiful proven maroon huacaya herdsire we co-own with Eileen Kromer of
Echo Acres Alpacas.
Benito was born 3 March, 2001 and his ARI # 817783.
His grandfather is the great suri Torbio, and his density and bright fleece
reflects those Accoyo genetics. Benito has one cria on the ground with
several to come next spring. We love the heavy bone of this guy which you
can see in this picture to the left, and are sure that he will be a great
compliment to your dam. Benito's breeding fee is $1500.00. Some of
his cria are pictured below.
0359 Peruvian Orvis
Here
is the total package in a huacaya. Orvis is a solid fawn with no other
color in his fleece which should make him an
excellent
source of color genetics. His parents are both Peruvian imports and are
fawn as well. We are
looking forward to seeing the crias he sires, for we are sure they will turn out
great. He has great bone, density, fineness, and crimp. The other
wonderful thing about Orvis is his easy going personality. Orvis is always
shown by our daughter who weighs half of what Orvis weighs. They have made
a great team taking ribbons in showmanship. In halter classes he took 2
first place ribbons at the Triple Crown here in Ohio, and took 2nd place
at the
2003 OABA show, and first at the National Livestock Exposition in 2003.
Breeding fee for Orvis is $1500. His first cria is pictured below, a rock
solid improvement on the dam.
